Cruise, Castles and the Alps – May 7 – May 19, 2023
Join us as we explore Germany, France and Switzerland by motor coach and enjoy a 4 night river cruise on the Rhine River, one of Europe’s best loved rivers.
Tour highlights will include visiting the Bavarian capital of Munich and the historical sites of Nuremberg and Rothenburg, Germany. We will hear the bells of the great Glockenspiel Tower in Salzburg and visit the Mirabell Gardens as featured in the Sound of Music.
After touring the Strasbourg Cathedral, one of the most beautiful gothic cathedrals in Europe, we will board a river boat for the next 4 nights as we journey down the Rhine River. The cruise will travel through the upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with more than 40 castles and fortresses from the middle ages.
Upon disembarking, the journey continues through the Black Forest of Germany, a land of Cuckoo clocks and fairy tale villages. We will cross the border into Switzerland and enjoy Zurich and Lucerne, famous for its wooden bridges. After a lake cruise on Lake Lucerne, we will ascend to Mt Pilatus, one of the most legendary places in Switzerland. We also will visit Neuschwanstein Castle, Walt Disney’s inspiration for Cinderella’s castle.
