Day 1, Wednesday, August 4
Arrive into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Upon arrival you will be met by your local tour guide and transferred to your local hotel. Overnight Anchorage. Meals: N/A
Day 2, Thursday, August 5
After breakfast, board a deluxe motor coach for a scenic transfer south to the coastal community of Seward. En route, visit the resort town of Girdwood where you will board a deluxe tram for a scenic ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska. Continue to Seward arriving in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, enjoy a visit to the Exit Glacier Nature Center where you will have a chance to hike out to Exit Glacier. Overnight Seward. Meals: Breakfast
Day 3, Friday, August 6
Today you will transfer to the Seward small boat harbor to board a glacier and wildlife cruise and travel through the majestic Kenai Fjords National Park. Explore the face of a glacier and keep your eyes open for seals, sea lions, whales, otters, and more. Lunch is included on board. Overnight Seward. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 4, Saturday, August 7
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic transfer on the motor coach to the post town of Whittier. Upon arrival into Whittier, board your marine vessel for a scenic journey through Prince William Sound to the town of Valdez. Enjoy the pristine waters as you look out for marine wildlife, glaciers, and towering mountains. Dinner is included on board. Overnight Valdez. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 5, Sunday, August 8
Today, we will travel north to Denali National Park. En route, enjoy a visit to the Wrangell St. Elias National Park Visitor Center to learn about the largest national park in the United States. Continue to Denali via the Denali Highway, one of the most spectacular drives in the world. Overnight Denali. Meals: Breakfast
Day 5, Sunday, August 8
Today we will travel into Denali National Park aboard the Tundra Wilderness Tour Bus and search the vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou, and dall sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated to allow for insight into the animals as well as the flora and fauna of this spectacular region. After an early dinner of Alaskan salmon, we will experience a wild or mild (your choice) float trip on the Nenana River. Overnight Denali. Meals: Breakfast, Box Lunch, dinner
Day 7, Tuesday, August 10
Start the day with a beautiful hike around Horseshoe Lake in Denali National Park and then board the motor coach for a scenic transfer south to the quaint town of Talkeetna, nestled at the base of Mt. Denali. En route, enjoy a visit to a local musher’s kennel where you will have a chance to meet an Iditarod sled dog team as well as hear tales from the trail. Continue to Talkeetna arriving in the early evening. Overnight Talkeetna. Meals: Breakfast
Day 8, Wednesday, August 11
Today will be at your leisure to explore the town of Talkeetna or purchase an optional tour such as a jet boat ride, flightseeing Mt. Denali, zipline tours, or hiking as well as several other options. Late afternoon, transfer to the Talkeetna Rail Depot where we will board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic train journey south to Anchorage. Upon arrival into Anchorage, depart for the airport for your flight back home! Meals: Breakfast
