- Entrance Fees\Visas – All required entrance fees and Visas as needed
- All Tips, Taxes & Porterage (one suitcase per person)
- Service Charges and Government Taxes in effect as of date of tour
- Meeting Assistance and Transfers on arrival and departure (if travelling on group air schedule)

Group Airfare
- Optional Group Airfare – There will be a group flight for purchase for those that prefer to travel with the group. This will be economy class round trip from Houston to Cape Town and Johannesburg to Houston. Estimated cost of this airfare will be $1,500 – $1,800. Airline schedules are available 10-11 months before departure and when available, we will publish the group air schedule and cost. Each traveler will have the opportunity to purchase the group airfare at this time or purchase the land only package.
- If purchasing your own airfare, you will be responsible for airport and hotel transfers. If your flights align within 20-30 minutes of the group schedule, travelers are welcome to share the transfer with the group
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended to safeguard your trip investment from unforeseen circumstances. Insurance must be purchased within 14 days of registration to cover pre-existing medical conditions. Visit www.preludetours.com for more information on travel insurance.
Payments and Conditions
- Land Only Cost: $8,395.00 per person (based on double occupancy)
- $895.00 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit due upon registration
- $3,750.00 due Monday, January 15, 2025
- $3,750.00 due Tuesday, April 30, 2025
- Group Airfare – to be determined March-April, 2025. Estimated cost of $1,500 – $1,800 and will be payable upon purchase of airline tickets.
Cancellation Policy
(Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing)
- Prior to January 14, 2025 – cancellation fee of $895 per person
- January 15 – April 29, 2025 – cancellation fee of $4,645 per person
- After May 1, 2025 – No refunds.
Additional Information
- Activity level of tour –Level 3: This tour is an active tour with walking, standing for longer periods of time on sometimes uneven ground or terrain and climbing steps. There will be some longer days and earlier mornings balanced with free time to enjoy your own interests. Guest should be able to walk 8,000 – 10,000 steps per day and manage their own luggage as needed. Guest will also need to be able to climb in and out of safari vehicles and safari boats
- Passports must be valid for 6 months AFTER the date of return to the US – (March 15, 2026)
- There will be no refund for unconsumed meals or unused entrance fees
- This tour is non- transferable upon cancellation (If one cancels their tour, they cannot transfer the payments to another person)
- When purchasing airfare with the group, seats are assigned by the airline and Prelude Tours has no control of seat assignments. If you prefer specific seats or upgrades, it is recommended that you purchase the land only option through Prelude Tours and purchase your own airfare to align with the group schedule
- The Center for Disease Control advises all travelers to South Africa and surrounding countries to be immunized for Typhoid Fever and begin taking anti malaria medication prior to travelling. Prelude Tours recommends a consultation with your physician for specific medications required
