Israel travel insurance update as of 05-09-25
Travel insurance for travel to Israel is available through Allianz Insurance as listed on our website. This insurance policy is standard travel insurance that protects your tour investment from any unforeseen circumstances relating to your health or the health of death of a family member before or during the tour. These benefits are known as trip cancellation and trip interruption.
For example, if you or a family member becomes ill prior to the tour departure and you need to cancel your tour, Allianz will reimburse you for your tour cost. If you become ill during the tour, Allianz will provide coverage for necessary medical expenses incurred. If a family member becomes ill or dies during the tour, Allianz will cover the expenses for you to return home under the covered reasons (as listed in your policy benefits) for trip interruption.
As stated below in the statement from Allianz, any expenses (losses) related to war or acts of war will not be covered by your policy. For example, if the airport suddenly closes in Tel Aviv and flights are cancelled, your travel insurance will not cover the expense to reroute your flight. HOWEVER, Prelude Tours will be responsible for any such additional costs for lodging and transportation.
If the State Department deems travel unsafe to Israel, Prelude Tours will cancel the tour and will refund all monies paid for the tour. You will also be eligible for a refund for your travel insurance premiums paid to Allianz.
