Magnificent Michigan and Mackinac Island
Escape the summer heat and head north to Michigan! This six night tour will begin in Detroit with a visit to the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, the largest indoor/outdoor museum in the United States. We will have a tour of the Rouge Ford Factory, home of the Ford F150 assembly line and a drive through Greenfield Village, Henry Ford’s private collection of buildings, in an original Model T car.
We will step back in time as we board a ferry to Mackinac Island, a charming resort-like retreat, full of history and natural wonders and where transportation is limited to bicycles and horse drawn carriages. You will be in awe of the beauty of Lake Michigan and its unsalted coastline and the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore.
The tour will conclude in Grand Rapids Michigan with a tour of the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum.
