Monday, August 26

We will meet at Houston Bush Airport for our flight to Louisville, KY. Upon arrival to Louisville, we will enjoy a group dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Overnight Louisville. (D)

Kentucky Derby

Tuesday, August 27

Today we are off to the races! We will spend the morning at Churchill Downs, home to the most prestigious horse race in America, The Kentucky Derby. We will tour the Kentucky Derby Museum, sit in the grandstands and enjoy a fabulous lunch at the Derby Cafe which overlooks the race track. After lunch it is “batter up!” time! We will tour the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory that celebrates the extraordinary role Louisville Slugger baseball bats have played in the sport’s past, present, and future. We will also have the opportunity to watch the production of these iconic bats. Overnight Georgetown, KY (B)(L)

The Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum

Wednesday, August 28

After breakfast, we will visit the Ark Encounter, a one-of-a-kind historically themed attraction presenting a number of historical events centered on Noah’s Ark as recorded in the Bible. The Ark is considered the largest freestanding timber frame structure in the world and is built according to the specs found in the Old Testament scripture. During the afternoon hours, there will be a Christian music concert presented as a part of the 40 days and nights of Christian Music. Overnight Georgetown, KY (B)(L)

Thursday, August 29

This morning we will enjoy a guided tour of Kentucky Toyota, America’s first and the world’s largest Toyota manufacturing facility. We will watch the production process of cars such as the Avalon, Lexus ES 350, and America’s best-selling car for 14 years running – the Camry. After lunch, we will visit Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm. This 136-acre working farm is home to such stars of the turf as Kentucky Derby winner Silver Charm, Breeders’ Cup Champion Amazombie, and stakes winners Game On Dude and Ide. Creation museum

Friday, August 30

We will spend today at The Creation Museum, a 75,000-square-foot facility that features animatronic dinosaurs and professional displays that honor God’s Word. These exhibits show why God´s infallible Word, rather than man´s faulty assumptions, is the place to begin if we want to make sense of our world. Overnight Georgetown, KY (B)(L)

Claudia Sanders Dinner House

Saturday, August 31

After breakfast we will drive to the Louisville area and enjoy lunch at Claudia Sanders Dinner House. We will taste some of the finest country-style dining and cooking made from the recipes of the restaurant’s founders, Colonel Sanders and his wife Claudia. Mid-late afternoon flight to Houston (B)(L)
